*Abbey and Ryland*

Abbey and Ryland are married! These two radiate love in every way; for each other and for everyone they gathered together to celebrate their marriage. It was an honor to photograph their wedding and the celebrations leading up to it.
Three generations: This isn't the first time a Schiavone has photographed for this wonderful family. My dad photographed Abbey's parent's wedding and my grandfather photographed Abbey's grandparent's wedding.  I feel so lucky that our families share this history together. Being a part of their wedding was wonderful enough, but to share that across the generations is pretty incredible.
Abbey and Ryland, I hope you love these images and that they are true to you and your love for each other. Now you can share these images with even more generations to come.
Love, Amber

Are you in love with him already?

Those cheeks are just calling out to be pinched! I held back and didn't do it.  As a kid, my cheeks were the pinching targets of a wonderful... but strong...Greek family.  They owned The Olive Tree, a Greek restaurant next door to my dad's photography studio. Growing up, my sister and I spent a lot of time at the studio and at their restaurant.  That means a lot of cheek pinching.  Every kid with pinch-able cheeks knows the pain.  So why do adults do it?  Why do I have this deep-set urge to pinch? I don't know, maybe it is a Greek-Italian thing, but wouldn't you want to pinch these cheeks?

Grandpa photographing a wedding in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

I found this wonderful photo of my grandpa, Joe Schiavone, photographing a wedding in Kalamazoo.  Check out that gorgeous camera and those shoes! My grandpa and dad were both photographers and I love that I share this with them.  Some of the most amazing times I have photographing are working with families who my dad or grandpa also photographed.  I have the honor of photograph a wedding this fall for a bride whose grandparents’ wedding was photographed by my grandpa and whose parents’ wedding was photographed by my dad.  I am thrilled to be the third generation photographing for this family!
